Netflix is facing a lawsuit over complaints about poor streaming quality and technical glitches during Mike Tyson and Jake Paul’s historic boxing match last week.
Netflix has been hit with a class action lawsuit over technical issues with its broadcast of the historic fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul after scores of boxing fans complained of buffering issues.
However, anticipation for the matchup quickly turned to frustration and disappointment for some with many fans complaining of buffering issues. "Having some serious buffering issues here in Arkansas!" one person replied to a Netflix post about the fight on X."Yes. It keeps buffering. I've restarted by router, still buffering. Bummer," another wrote. Netflix did not directly comment on the debacle but noted the live event had the company’s buffering systems “on the ropes”.
The man claimed he and group of others were faced with “legendary problems, including: no access, streaming glitches, and buffering issues” when they tried to watch the fight at around 8pm on Friday.The streaming giant recently announced it will broadcast another live sporting event on Christmas Day.The NFL Christmas Gameday Live will be available to watch on the site for all Netflix members and viewers will be treated to a halftime performance by legendary singer-songwriter Beyoncé.
