New and improved Koroibete puts hand up for England series after Japan stint | tomdecent
Marika Koroibete says he intends to be involved in Australia’s three-Test series against England later this year and believes he’s transformed into an even better player after starring for the Saitama Panasonic Wild Knights in Japanese rugby.
Having signed a lucrative deal with Japanese rugby, Koroibete was granted personal leave for Australia’s final Rugby Championship match. “He [Rennie] called me and we’ve been chatting about how I’m liking Japan and how the rugby is going. We had a conversation if I am still keen to come over and play in the England series. It will be good to go back and visit Australia.”Koroibete hadn’t even debuted for the Wallabies the last time England came to Australian shores in 2016 and claimed a famous 3-0 series win.
