Sky News contributor Caleb Bond says he does not think it’s a “bad idea” for university students studying education to get more experience in a classroom.
Mr Bond’s comments follow a report from The Australian which revealed federal, state and territory education ministers in NSW and Victoria are set to consider a plan which would see university students assist teachers six months into an education degree.
“Giving them experience in the classroom for more than two weeks, which is the usual placement they do, I think is a good thing,” Mr Bond told Sky News host Jenna Clarke.
