Victoria Police has just launched STOPIT, an Australian-first service, which allows people to discreetly text police to log incidents they observe on trams, trains and buses.
"STOPIT will give police a better understanding of exactly what's occurring and most importantly boost our ability to identify perpetrators and hold them to account," Transit and Public Safety Command Assistant Commissioner Dean McWhirter said.
