New Zealand has reported 49 new cases of COVID-19 in a second consecutive day of falling case numbers.
In a sign that New Zealand may have its COVID-19 outbreak under control, case numbers have dropped for the second straight day.
"Based on our updated modelling, the reproduction rate of the virus in this outbreak is now looking like it is remaining under one," he said. "I would ask Kiwis just to hold that thought. Every day for me is another step. A bit of progress. But it's too early," she said."It is good not to see some of those high numbers we were on only a few days ago. But it's another step. We've still got a journey to go through."
