A Jersey City woman whose flight to Rome last week was rerouted to Newark afterfeet in roughly 8 minutes suffered through another scare in the sky on her return trip.
About 10 passengers quickly crowded near the back of the Boeing 777 before the pilot announced the plane would be making an emergency landing for a person experiencing medical issues, Lovere said. Tato Lovere was onboard flight UA 509 from Rome to Newark Tuesday when an hour into the flight, a stewardess put out a call for help for any passengers with medical experience.The plane was rerouted to Newark Liberty International Airport, where Lovere and other passengers boarded a later flight to Rome.
“There’s just a little something that doesn’t sit right,” Lovere, 47, told The Post. “I’ve never had two planes [reroute] back-to-back on separate days, and it’s the same route, and I got the same seat [number].”
