Archival footage is interspersed through each episode, providing a gorgeous glimpse back as well as talking points. ABC archivist Michael Osmond unearthed reams of footage relevant to each of the interviewees. Buttrose’s composure and confidence as a young woman, asked if she wanted to create an empire like Murdoch’s, to which she retorts “of course not”, stating she would carve her own way as a woman, not mirror any male.
