Lewis Hamilton has always been one of the F1's most outspoken activists on issues of racism and equality and the Mercedes driver insists the FIA's new rules - which restrict social and political statements - won't keep him quiet.

As one of the sport’s most outspoken athletes Hamilton said the new rules don't come as a “surprise” but insisted he would refuse to be silenced on issues that matter to him.

Mercedes' Hamilton is known to make statements to advocate against racism. Hamilton did not confirm how he would continue to advocate for causes close to his heart if the FIA remained steadfast on its position by implementing harsh sporting penalties. Albon asked the FIA for some clarity around the rules as it appeared to be a backtracking on the inclusivity ambitions such as “We Race as One”.
