Two notorious Australian Neo-Nazis have been exposed as the likely architects of a menacing video in which a masked man denigrates Indigenous senator Lidia Thorpe before burning the Aboriginal flag.
The video — which the ABC has chosen to not publish in full — was widely condemned as "cowardly", "disgusting", and "menacing", and is now being investigated by the Australian Federal Police .from racist abuse and threats, saying: "For four months I wasn't allowed to be in my home because people want to kill me out there".
Metadata also shows the video was encoded using Vireo, software which has been used on other videos in Eracleous's channel. Those same archives also show the WACR has been a pet project for Eracleous. He signs many posts with its name and has shared proposed logo designs for the group in white supremacy chats.
Roberts's eyes can be seen beneath a balaclava in the 2022 video. An analysis of his voice and other public appearances by Roberts has also confirmed they are one in the same. Eracleous denied he had a part in the "making or producing" of the video and declined to answer questions about who was involved.
Eracleous's Telegram bio once read he is a "ticking time bomb" while referencing the Christchurch shooting and calling himself a "Hardcore Aryan".
