The prince of Penrith, Nathan Cleary, is now the king of the NRL after dethroning James Tedesco as the best player in the game.polled 100 players from across the NRL to get their responses about a range of topics.

No surprise to see Nathan Cleary voted the best halfback in the game. He finished second behind Mitchell Pearce last year, but there’s no denying his status as the game’s premier No.7. Hughes is regarded as one of the most improved players in the NRL after leading Melbourne to a premiership in 2020. It’s the first time Hughes has finished in the top five of voting.

Grant finished with 43 per cent of votes, well ahead of Australian hooker Damien Cook with just 12 per cent.
