BREAKING: Two people have been killed on the frontline of an 'Emergency' level bushfire burning in Sydney's south-west after a NSW RFS truck rolled. 9News

With a long night still ahead for firefighters, a fourth intense bushfire front has been raised to an 'Emergency' alert level.

The Currowan blaze burning in the Shoalhaven area between Batemans Bay and Ulladulla has already torn through more than 105,000 hectares of land. The township of Nerriga has been entirely isolated by flames and the Braidwood - Nerriga Road is closed between Nerriga and Braidwood. The increased fire activity comes as firefighters are hurriedly battling the conditions ahead of a potentially more dangerous weekend ahead, with the blaze burning between Burrill Lake and Morton National Park in the north, the Bundawang Range and Clyde Mountain in the west, and Batemans Bay in the south.

Residents affected by this incident have been urged by the NSW RFS to monitor the situation closely, seek shelter where possible and to follow family bushfire survival plans. An evacuation centre has also been opened at the Ulladulla Civic Centre on The Princes Highway in Ulladulla.
