Staying with Mark Latham on 2GB, the NSW One Nation leader went on to say that protesters could have taken action on the footpath, rather than blocking roads and obstructing access to the church.
2GB host Ben Fordham has asked Latham about footage that has emerged of a person being pushed to the ground, telling Latham, “there is no excuse for that kind of behaviour, that’s violence.” “We will get to the time where there’s the counter counter-protest and you get these chaotic scenes. What’s wrong with just allowing a politician or an elected office“When I did get to speak, and we had the meeting for an hour and a half, it was a great discussion about very, very important issues that are worrying parents in the schools, worrying people of religious faith, so that was all fantastic.
“I was told by the police in the late afternoon, given I was a guest speaker at the Belfield St Michael’s Church, that transgender protesters were saying they were going to block the road,” Latham says.“I was greeted by mainly mothers and grandmothers wanting to hear about school education, parental rights, all the issues I’ve been raising during the election campaign.
