NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet has unveiled a record $132 million in funding for the State Emergency Service to help 'strengthen frontline services right across the state'.
The extra investment, which includes more than $50 million to upgrade 18 critical priority unit facilities across the state, will go towards funding SES infrastructure, resources and staffing.

“This investment in the SES enhances our support of our greatest asset, our volunteers, and enables us to provide the vital assistance NSW communities need to protect life and property around the State,” Commissioner York said. The investment comes as the Perrottet government places a priority on emergency services after another $200 million was put aside for the Rural Fire Service on Sunday.
