NSW MP Rory Amon quits Liberals, offers resignation from Parliament after being charged with 10 child sex offences including five counts of intercourse with child
This comes after NSW Police received reports in June 2022 of an alleged sexual assault which took place in Mona Vale in 2017. "While Mr Amon is entitled to the presumption of innocence, a criminal trial will be some time away and in the meantime the citizens of Pittwater are entitled to have a Member of Parliament who can discharge their duties in the community fully," Mr Speakman said.
