Breaking: NSW detectives have arrested the director of a company at the centre of an alleged corporate fraud scandal involving NAB worth tens of millions of dollars

New South Wales detectives have arrested the director of a company at the centre of an alleged corporate fraud scandal involving National Australia Bank worth tens of millions of dollars.

Human Group director Helen Rosamond was arrested by members of Strike Force Nathali at her harbourside home on Friday morning and taken to the Kings Cross police station for questioning. She is expected to be charged with several fraud-related expenses linked to an alleged kickbacks scandal that allegedly ran out of the office of recently departed NAB chief executive Andrew Thorburn.

The relationship between Ms Rosamond and Mr Thorburn's former chief of staff, Rosemary Rogers, is at the centre of the police investigation, which was triggered by a whistleblower referral within NAB last year. The alleged scam involved the Human Group inflating invoices for its services to NAB to cover large commissions and fund extravagent overseas holidays taken by Ms Rogers and her family.Ms Rogers has not been arrested or charged.
