Over 100 additional NSW Police officers have been deployed to northern NSW today to assist with the cleanup effort across Lismore, Tweed Heads, Ballina and surrounds.

There is also a potential for another system to start to move through from Sydney as well so still a long way to go.”
“Likely to be heavy machinery starting to remove waste and debris. Be prepared to move your vehicles to allow this to happen,” he wrote in a statement on his social media pages. In Cumberland Reach, properties 560 to 600 and 501 Laws Farm Road, as well as 450 to 480 Laws Farm Road along the Hawkesbury, are being ordered to evacuate.
