NSW Premier Glady Berejiklian says to 8pm last night there were there were 1,480 cases of COVID-19 community transmission and nine deaths.
“Pleasingly, New South Wales has satisfied another important hurdle – 75 per cent of our state have had at least the first dose of vaccine,” she said.
“We will all rest once we get to at least 80 per cent full dose, knowing full well that we’ll hit that double 80 per cent vaccination rate as soon as we can. “42 per cent of our citizens are fully vaccinated, a number which is very pleasingly inching towards that 70 per cent double vaccination rate we’re all looking forward to, which we still estimate will be around mid-October.”
