"Often indoors - if you look at bars, pubs, clubs - where people are together for long periods of time."But he suggested government-imposed restrictions should be dependent on hospitalisations, which have so far remained steady despite surging cases.
He said transmission would likely increase during winter, mirroring what has been seen in the UK and US.Some health experts are calling for the return of mask mandates.
