BREAKING: New South Wales recorded a big jump in daily COVID-19 figures as hundreds of thousands of residents scramble to testing clinics with two days until Christmas.
There are currently 347 cases in hospital, up from 302 on Wednesday, and 45 cases in ICU, up from 40 on the previous day.
Hospitalisation and ICU admissions have increased day by day - an increase of 86 patients and 12 cases in ICU since the beginning of the week.Premier Dominic Perrottet will announce the return of QR codes for retail and hospitality venues after it was removed earlier this month. The state government is also set to provide free rapid antigen testing kits to ease the pressure on testing sites across the state.
