NSW rail workers are demanding their state government allow them to wear shorts instead of long pants on the job, with growing concerns about heat stress.
The Rail, Tram and Bus Union say workers aren’t fashion models and should be allowed to do their job without overheating.
Union workers will hold further strike action on Tuesday, as they demand the tearing up of a regional fleet contract with the same Spanish company which built the crack-ridden Sydney Inner West light rail carriages.
