More than 60,000 votes have already been cast in an election that's predicted to run close, as Territory Labor chases a third term against the Country Liberal Party.

It's election day in the Northern Territory , where votes will be cast across 25 seats from Darwin to Arnhem Land and Alice Springs.

"Look, I think after eight years of Labor, people are probably looking for a change here at this point," Walsh said."In fact, most of their policies are very similar, and I think that's what going to make this election so close."On points of difference, Labor has pledged to double the amount of preschool hours for four-year-olds, and the CLP said it would abolish payroll tax for businesses.

With polls closing tomorrow, the NT election race has been dominated by a single issue — crime. But the campaign to win government for the next four years has taken some surprising turns.
