A man who escaped from a quarantine facility in Alice Springs eight days ago has been arrested by NT Police.at the Todd quarantine facility and escaped via a balcony on December 3.
After an extensive police search, NT Police said members of the Tennant Creek criminal investigations branch and local police officers arrested the man on the Barkly Highway around 11am this morning.He was taken to the Tennant Creek watch house, where it is expected he will be charged with a string of offences.
According to police, these include breaching the Chief Health Officer's direction, driving an unregistered motor vehicle without a valid licence as well as drug charges.
