New Zealand recorded 21 new cases of COVID-19 as the country wakes up to day five of its nationwide snap-lockdown.
The country plunged into a nationwide snap-lockdown on Tuesday after one local case was detected in the community.
The returnee travelled from Sydney to Auckland from a managed 'red zone' flight on August 7, before returning a positive result on August 9.Total outbreak: 72 Five of the cases are currently in hospital with COVID-19, but none are in ICU, Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield told reporters on Sunday.
