David Zandstra, 83, who has been accused of kidnapping and murdering 8-year-old Gretchen Harrington in 1975, previously lived in Plano, Texas, according to...

Harrington was reported missing Aug. 15, 1975 and her skeletal remains were found several months later atHarrington was a participant of a bible camp held on two different churches in Marple, Pennsylvania. Zandstra was a pastor at the Trinity Church Chapel Christian Reform Church, and Harrington’s father was a pastor at the second church, the attorney’s office said.

In January, someone who identified themselves as being “best friends” with Zandstra’s daughter, told investigators they were groped by Zandstra during a sleepover when they were 10 years old, the district attorney’s office said.On July 17, investigators met with Zandstra in Georgia, where he admitted to offering Harrington a ride before taking her to a wooded area and trying to coerce the child to remove her clothing.
