Outsiders host Rita Panahi says while Australia does “share similarities” with the United States and the UK, there are also “plenty of differences” in each countries' varying approach to addressing COVID-19. It comes as all US states have been placed under a federal disaster declaration for the first time in the country’s history due to the spreading coronavirus threat.

The US has become the worst affected country in the world with more than 540,000 infections and more than 21,000 deaths. Ms Panahi said footage has emerged showing "these trains where people are almost on top of each other certainly not social distancing" in New York. "You can see why it is spreading so rapidly in those conditions," she told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
