Payne fell into the hotel’s courtyard in the affluent Palermo neighbourhood, according to Argentine publication La Nacion. Argentina’s emergency medical service, SAME, confirmed Payne’s death, with its head, Alberto Crescenti, telling media that the fall, from about 13 or 14m, caused “very serious injuries incompatible with life.”
Payne had posted on his Snapchat about an hour before reports of his death emerged, including videos of him and his girlfriend Kate Cassidy discussing their love for Argentina. Picture: Snapchat
