The data, released by Gun Control Australia, revealed one Eastgardens gun owner has 305 firearms in their personal arsenal, with one Mosman resident owning 285 firearms.

For the first time since the aftermath of the Port Arthur massacre, the number of registered firearms in NSW has exceeded one million.Target shooter Susie Smith owns multiple guns and is not surprised by the number of registered firearms across NSW.Among them, an Eastgardens gun owner has 305 firearms in their arsenal, with one Mosman resident owning 285 and another in North Sydney holding 268.

Across the state, one individual in Moonbi, near Tamworth, has the highest number of firearms at 312, while one in Cardiff, near Lake Macquarie, is in possession of 310.Gun Control Australia president Samantha Lee said the number of guns is a matter of "community safety" and said it is "inevitable" that something will happen that will force politicians to take action.

"On my 12th birthday, which is the legal age, I got my minor's permit," she said. "I used to dance and play tennis, but my sister used to dance as well and my mum sort of wanted me to do something that was my own.""I think it's great as it means that our sport is growing, it's highly encouraging," she said. "But it's not the ones that are registered that we have to worry about.

Among those is for a two-gun limit per individual licence holder, excluding collectors or those with an exceptional reason. The recommendation comes after it was revealed by Gun Control Australia that 100 individuals across the state own more than 70 firearms.
