Police were called to reports of a group of people fighting in a park on Haines Drive, Wyndham Vale, about 11.30pm on Friday. A 24-year-old from the same suburb was found with a stab wound and received medical treatment but died at the scene.Det Insp Paul Lloyd said 12 men in four white cars pulled up at the park where a group of seven other men had gathered.“It certainly appeared it was targeted. The way that they turned up, and just gone straight to it.”
A 24-year-old Manor Lakes man and three Wyndham Vale men – two 26-year-olds and a 28-year-old – were arrested nearby and will be interviewed by investigators on Saturday.All four were part of the original group gathered at the park while the men’s attackers remain on the run.
