One person hospitalized after 2-vehicle crash on Friars Road near Snapdragon Stadium [Breaking]
One person was seriously injured after a collision on Friars Road near Snapdragon Stadium late Wednesday morning and the investigation was still underway hours later, police said.
San Diego police were investigating the collision, which was reported around 11:30 a.m. on Friars Road near Interstate 15. Two cars were involved. One person suffered major injuries, said police Officer Lawanda Fisher. Police did not know immediately what led up to the crash or what direction the cars were traveling when they collided. The injured person was taken to a hospital. No other information was available.California Highway Patrol officers shut down the north and south ramps to I-15 at Friars Road, Fisher said. Traffic was heavy in the area.
