Adrian Schrinner says a 40-year lack of action on transport infrastructure for the northside means only expensive options remain, as council released a business case for a transport corridor.

Schrinner said the outcome of the research and the business case options must reopen debate on the traffic and transport future of Brisbane’s northside, which he said had been ignored.He said an aerial view of Brisbane showed the Gateway Motorway linking eastern suburbs, the Logan Motorway linking the south, and the Ipswich Motorway linking the west.
However, it did include several sections on funding options, including discussions with multinational toll operator Transurban, which operates south-east Queensland’s toll roads and tunnels.
