The communications regulator has filed a lawsuit in the Federal Court claiming Optus did not protect customers’ information before it was struck by a cyberattack.

The number of Optus enterprise produces will be cut to less than 100 from more than 250 and sales partners will be slashed to 16 from more than 100, Singtel said. Optus will also abandon unprofitable businesses and focus on its mobile business.Optus’ total operating revenue was flat over the 12 months to March 31 at $A8 billion, underpinned by a 2 per cent rise in mobile revenues to $S5.4 billion after the telco group lifted prices on monthly phone plans.
