The Aussie outback is set for a drenching this weekend as an enormous rainband makes its way from central Australia to NSW.

Outback to be drenched with 'entire season's worth of rain' in a matter of days as upwards of 60mm to hit Central Australia

A staggering 20 to 60mm of rain is forecasted to make its way from South Australia through to the boarder of Queensland and NSW and over to the coastline over the next four days. As the two weather systems collide it could result in"an entire season's worth of rain" for parts of the country, according to WeatherZone.

Sydney has endured rain for seven out of the last eight weekends, a trend which meteorologists expect to continue this Saturday and Sunday.
