Annastacia Palaszczuk engaged in a fiery back-and-forth with a journalist who accused her of holding the country 'ransom' over testing requirements to enter the Sunshine State amid massive delays in New South Wales.
Ms Palaszczuk disregarded the suggestion the Sunshine State’s border requirements were to blame for the delays telling a COVID-19 update on Wednesday NSW residents are coming forward for tests in large numbers because the Omicron variant of concern is “rampant” in the state.

Ms Palaszczuk said she is waiting for rapid antigen tests to be approved by the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee and will look to implement them from January 1.
