The Premier unveiled a historic report in parliament on Tuesday that outlines a path to treaty between Queensland and First Nations people.

Speaking at Parliament on Tuesday Ms Palaszczuk said her government accepted all 22 recommendations from the Treaty Advancement Committee Report.

Offer ends 31 October, 2022 > “This is the latest step in a long journey that our government has embarked upon towards reconciliation and achieving real outcomes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island peoples.

An independent interim body - which includes former Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander social justice commissioner Mick Gooda and former Lord Mayor of Brisbane Sallyanne Atkinson AO - will oversee the treaty process until the institute is established.
