The heartbroken partner of a pregnant mum killed by a boy racer on the M66 crash has told of his dismay after the driver avoided a life sentence following an appeal.
Frankie, who was 17 weeks pregnant, suffered unsurvivable brain injuries and died two days later without regaining consciousness. Her unborn daughter could not survive. Susanna said: "The maximum sentence in this case could've been life imprisonment. So it went back to court and last Friday he was given an increased sentence.Calvin said: "Yes. With the severity and how extreme the case is, we do feel that it warrants a life sentence. The judge at the appeal was a lot different.

Lord Justice Bean, Mr Justice Murray and His Honour Judge Anthony Leonard oversaw a Court of Appeal hearing in London. Solicitor General Michael Tomlinson had argued that the sentence was unduly lenient and asked for a review.
