“I thought our kids did a really good job of bringing the defensive energy,” Pearland coach Jere Adams said. “For us, it’s always about us being disciplined in our defense. We did that tonight and I liked what I saw from our defense all night.” This was the first Region III-6A tournament appearance in school history for Katy, which also won a district title for the first time since the 2019-2020 season.
