The opening date has been revealed
Readers have expressed their excitement after plans were unveiled for this year's Christmas Winter Wonderland in the city centre. The annual event will once again take place in Nottingham's Old Market Square, but this year people can enjoy the festivities one week earlier.
Alongside the ice rink, there will be a new Sky Skate Ice Path layout, taking ice skaters overhead while the observation wheel and toboggan slide will be providing further entertainment. Shoppers will be able to find unusual and interesting Christmas gifts on the market stalls.There will lots of opportunity for food and drink with stalls and the Ice Bar, Sur La Piste and Altitude Ski Bar making a return. The current attraction in Slab Square, Nottingham Beach, is open until September 3.
"This is also amazing for wheelchairs and accessibility. Every year they go above and beyond and amazing to see wheelchairs and people being able to join in."
