NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet has confirmed three new Commissioners, including Chief, of the Independent Commission Against Corruption following a government proposal in June.

Premier Dominic Perrottet on Thursday announced Mr Hatzistergos would be taking over the role from Peter Hall next week, as he also revealed two other key ICAC appointments. Mr Perrottet said the three appointments - each consisting of five-year terms - were made after an open merit-based selection process.

Mr Hatzistergos was a Labor member of the NSW Legislative Council between 1999 and 2011, before being appointed a District Court judge in 2014.Ms Murrell recently retired as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the ACT, while Mr Lakatos is a District Court Judge and President of the Mental Health Review Tribunal.Ms Murrell will start on August 7 and Mr Lakatos will start on September 12. The ICAC is responsible for eliminating and investigating corrupt activities across NSW.

Mr Perrottet notified the Joint Parliamentary Committee in June, proposing a new Chief Commissioner and Commissioners of the ICAC.
