Sad news to report
A person hit by a train has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, British Transport Police have confirmed. BTP officers were called to Humphrey Park Railway Station, on the Manchester to Liverpool Line - between Urmston and Trafford Park - just after 8am on Monday , where a person was found injured on the tracks.
In an update, the Liverpool Echo reports, a spokesperson for BTP said: "Officers were called to Humphrey Park Railway Station at 8.02am on 26 June following reports of a casualty on the tracks."Paramedics also attended, and a person has been taken to local hospital with life-threatening injuries. This incident is not being treated as suspicious."
