A Perth girl left burnt, blistered and in hospital with sunburn has shared her experience amid a concerning surge in cases. Clare Nicholson’s fun day in the sun and water left her in agony and unable to move.
Sunburn warning issued after Perth girl lands in hospital. “I was really cold and under like four blankets but my shoulders were really hot,” she told 7NEWS. Clare put sunscreen on earlier in the day but believes she might have jumped back in the water too soon after reapplying. “I reapplied but then didn’t wait long enough, and then hopped in the pool straight away,” she said.
