A helicopter has crashed in South Australia's south-east this afternoon, SA Police has confirmed. .

Early reports indicate the helicopter came into contact with powerlines during the crash which happened about 2:30pm.

Emergency services responded to the incident and SA Police said the pilot had been taken to Naracoorte Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Country Fire Service is travelling to the scene of the incident at West Road near Bool Lagoon, outside of Naracoorte.Police have charged a man with two counts of death by dangerous driving over the crash on Lucindale Road, approximately 25 kilometres west of Naracoorte, just before 12:45pm on Tuesday.On Tuesday night, police confirmed a 60-year-old man, who was driving the SUV, and a 49-year-old woman, who was a passenger, died at the scene.
