Dubbed the Breakfast Creek Sports Precinct, the inner city venue will facilitate basketball, netball, goalball, volleyball and badminton.

"It's all about making sure we are ready and tested for 2032," Brisbane City Council Deputy Mayor Krista Adams said."What we have announced today is a concept plan for the Breakfast Creek Sports Precinct. "There is a great opportunity to seize this moment and get a legacy for the people of Brisbane for years to come."

The Albion Park Raceway, established in 1890, will be moved to a different location to make room for the indoor sports centre.After: A concept design for the new Breakfast Creek Sports Precinct, due for completion before 2032. While harness racing will remain in the area, Brisbane City Council insists cultural heritage will not be lost by moving the original racing track.The Alan Border Field will remain in its original position but will receive additional seating.Brisbane City Council councillor Krista Adams said the design was a concept sketch.
