Prime Minister Scott Morrison has re-enforced the need for Australia to reach 70 and 80 per cent vaccination thresholds as he 'welcomes' a vaccine requirement for NSW travellers.
The Western Australia premier on Friday said the escalating COVID-19 situation in NSW was “concerning for the entire country” and there was “no sign” it would improve in coming weeks.
“Now that is not unlike the sorts of things we’ve been talking about for some time where people are vaccinated and an exemption has been granted, that the vaccination aids that exemption being given on public health grounds. Fronting the media after the National Cabinet meeting, the prime minister was asked whether he could see a future where domestic travel was only possible by providing proof of vaccination.
