Prime Minister Scott Morrison has denied allegations the federal government was redirecting rapid antigen test orders from workers to the Commonwealth.

His comment follows claims from distributors that overseas suppliers of RATs"will now only be dealing with the federal government" amid critical shortages across the nation.

The federal health department claimed it had"not requisitioned all RAT supplies within and entering Australia”. “We're not redirecting supplies to Commonwealth orders and we have not put in place any arrangements do that. "If you're being told by suppliers that you cannot get those rapid antigen test because the Commonwealth government has redirected it, that is not true,” Mr Morrison said.
