A publisher says it will revise a passage which prompted a strong backlash over the way it allegedly described fertility treatment.

abc.net.au/news/poland-removes-passage-from-book-on-human-fertility/101363486A Polish publisher has said it will remove a passage from a new school textbook which has been strongly criticised for its apparent description of human fertility treatment.Critics said one section alluded to fertility treatment as 'human production'Publisher Bialy Kruk said that it disagreed with the criticism, and that the passage had been wrongly interpreted.

The first version the book, titled History and the Present, described what the author views as modern approaches to sexuality and child bearing. The original version read: "Increasingly sophisticated methods of separating sex from love and fertility lead to the treatment of sex as entertainment and fertility as human production, one could say breeding."Many people interpreted that passage as meaning that children born by IVF are undeserving of love.
