Detectives from the Echo Taskforce have released dashcam footage showing Mongols bikies surrounding the unidentified L-plate rider in the outbound lanes of the freeway near the Wellington Road exit around 12:15pm on Saturday, October 19.Police say they were travelling at high speed and the L-plater was forced to take evasive action to avoid falling from his motorcycle.
"Targeting an innocent L-plate motorbike rider who was simply going about his day is seriously reckless and cowardly behaviour." Inspector Rumble said the taskforce would not allow the community to be intimidated by outlaw motorcycle gangs.
