A child has escaped an attempted abduction outside a school in Brisbane . Queensland Police said an 8-year-old boy was approached by two men who were unknown to him while he was walking home from school along Plumridge St in Chelmer, about 3pm on Monday. Two men, believed to be aged in their 30s, reportedly approached the boy in a car.
“In light of this incident, we urge all families to discuss with their children the importance of taking care when travelling to and from school,” the school said. Police said they are looking for two men who may be able to assist with investigations. “They were last seen in a silver or grey Mercedes SUV that is believed to have had black plates with white writing,” a police spokesperson said. “No one was physically harmed during this incident and the boy is safe and well.
