Queensland police say a 16-year-old boy was among those killed over the weekend, having been a passenger along with several other teenagers in a vehicle driven by an 18-year-old that rolled at Lockhart River in Cape York.
Far North Queensland Police have issued a warning to drivers to slow down after four people were killed in separate crashes on the region's roads over the weekend.
A 62-year-old man from Manunda was killed when he lost control of his motorbike near Almaden, west of Cairns, on Saturday afternoon. A short time later, a 21-year-old man from Julatten died when his ATV buggy crashed on Quaids Road at Mount Molloy.He had been riding with two friends who tried to help him after the buggy rolled down an embankment. He was unable to be revived.
