Authorities have issued a $1 million reward for information that could help solve a decades-long unsolved murder in Sydney’s east.
Denise Govendir was found dead just after 2am on March 10 in 1998 at her home on Dover Road in Dover Heights.
Ms Govendir and another 55-year-old man were believed to be assaulted by an unknown man who broke into their home claiming to be police. “It is alleged the unknown man struck the 55-year-old man, rendering him unconscious, before restraining him with cable ties,” New South Wales Police said in a statement.
