A man has been charged with murder over the death of 25-year-old Thor Morgan, who was killed with a bullet to the head.
Police believe Morgan was driving on Ruthven Street in Harlaxton, Toowoomba, just before 3am on March 15 when a firearm was discharged from a stolen dual-cab ute.Morgan was found at a Coonan Street address with a gunshot wound to his head. He was taken to Toowoomba Hospital and transferred to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, where he died two months later because of his injuries and medical complications.Following an investigation, police dive squad officers recovered a firearm from a northern branch of the Condamine River on July 26, which police would allege was the weapon used in the shooting.
A 24-year-old Cambooya man has been charged with one count each of murder, arson of a motor vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of weapons.Investigations remain ongoing.
